The Caleo® is a specialized incubator designed to cater to premature babies and ailing neonates with a weight limit of 5 kg and a maximum length of 55 cm. This state-of-the-art equipment ensures these fragile patients are provided with a carefully regulated environment, with controlled heating and, if needed, specific humidity and oxygen levels. The system is built with the flexibility to tailor the internal environment based on the unique needs of the patient, adjusting the air temperature, humidity, and oxygen concentration accordingly. As a measure to safeguard the delicate health of the neonates, all external air is meticulously filtered before it enters the chamber.
Enhanced Accessibility: The Caleo® stands out due to its exceptional patient accessibility, suitable for both standard and intensive care scenarios. It features four expansive access ports (two on each side), aptly named the Caleo® JumboPorts™, ensuring caregivers can effortlessly reach the patient. Both longitudinal sides are hinged, allowing them to be entirely folded down. Additionally, smaller flaps at the head and foot of the incubator can be lowered for easier access. In urgent situations, the top canopy can be tilted from different angles or entirely removed to provide unrestricted access from above.
Organized and Efficient Design: The incubator has been thoughtfully designed with a total of ten large sleeves, facilitating the neat and organized entry and exit of hoses and cables. These sleeves, positioned strategically at each corner, can be conveniently detached, especially beneficial during “Kangarooing” sessions, where the baby is cradled directly against the parent’s chest. This feature ensures that even when the baby is outside the chamber, the cables and hoses remain tidy and manageable. Additionally, Dräger's innovative ThermoMonitoring provides continuous measurement of both central and peripheral body temperatures, ensuring neonates' optimal comfort and health.

Recognizing the importance of minimizing disturbances to a neonate's natural sleep pattern, features like external mattress tilting and bed height adjustment have been incorporated. The intuitive control panel simplifies the use of sophisticated functions with text messages guiding the caregiver. Moreover, the display offers valuable insights, including adjustable trend parameters for air, skin, humidity, oxygen, and weight that can range from three hours to seven days. The ThermoMonitoring display is especially vital, showing trends in central and peripheral temperatures.

Caleo® addresses this by offering generous JumboPorts™, giving full, climate-controlled access to any part of the bed. This design allows for procedures, such as endotracheal intubation and minor surgeries, to be carried out inside the incubator without compromising the baby's environment.
Advanced Developmental Care: Caleo® prioritizes developmental care, aiming to create an environment characterized by low noise, minimal disturbances, and less stressful procedures for the neonate. Quiet doors and drawers, along with an electronic bed tilt, help in achieving this goal by reducing internal noise levels.
